This program blends rich online content with traditional classroom instruction, allowing you to learn through self-discovery.

In Planning the Entrepreneurial Venture, you will increase your knowledge of entrepreneurship and develop a plan for a start-up venture. This program offers three blended-learning components:

Online component - Independently explore the online content filled with concepts, examples, online activities, and audio and video clips featuring successful entrepreneurs, progress checks, and links to additional resources.

Classroom component - The instructor reinforces the online content and provides additional information in facilitated lectures, presentations, and discussion. Guest speakers, including local entrepreneurs, share the lessons they have learned for starting and operating a business.

Lab component - You will practice and apply what you have learned in group activities and individual work on exercises, case studies, scenarios, and assignments.

Understanding the World of Entrepreneurship

Americans are living in a new economy-powered by technology, fueled by globalization, and driven by entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurship is indeed a mainstream phenomenon; opportunities have never been greater. To succeed in this environment, entrepreneurs must have a thorough knowledge of the world of entrepreneurship and sound business planning skills.
